On redistributing support
A real insight from an email reply.
A few weeks ago, we asked what people were choosing to align right now.
One of you replied.
Femi shared that in 2025, giving looked different. Instead of donating to large international organizations, Femi chose to support small, local ones. Not because the larger orgs don’t matter, but because they already have significant support. The contribution felt more useful where the need was greater.

Why this matters
I’m often asked for real examples of living and leading through your values.
And I think it’s important to share more than just what big brands are doing. As a reminder of even how small choices each day make a difference. So this clear, grounded illustration of values moving money with intention felt like a great fit.
What stood out wasn’t just where Femi gave, but how the decision was made:
awareness of scale
attention to need
care for impact, not optics
That’s values in action.
It’s easy to think about giving in terms of loyalty, habit, or recognition. What Femi offered instead was a different lens:
Where does my support actually matter most right now?
That question doesn’t shame past choices.
It opens future ones.
